In contrast, chronic insomnia and narcolepsy cannot be permanently treated, but they can be managed effectively with proper care, medication and lifestyle modification.

Your sleep schedule depends upon your age, lifestyle, and health condition. Adults generally need seven to eight hours of sleep per night.
