TelehealthDr's health information is produced by our editorial team and medically reviewed by AHPRA-registered doctors. Our goal is clear, accurate, up-to-date information that helps Australians make informed decisions about their health — always alongside, not instead of, a consultation with a registered doctor.
How We Create Our Content
Every article follows a consistent process:
- Researched against current Australian clinical guidelines and reputable sources, for example the Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Australian Government Department of Health, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Fair Work Ombudsman for workplace-leave topics.
- Written in plain English by our editorial team.
- Medically reviewed by an AHPRA-registered doctor for clinical accuracy and patient safety before publication.
- Dated and updated — each article shows when it was last reviewed, and we update content as guidelines change.
Medical Review
Our clinical content is reviewed by Dr Faisal Khan (MBBS, FRACGP, FAMAC), an AHPRA-registered Australian GP with more than 22 years' experience and Clinical Director of the Healthcare Evolutions GP clinic network. Reviewed articles carry a “Medically reviewed by” line and a “Last reviewed” date.
Read Dr Khan's profileOur Editorial Standards
- We write to support informed decisions; our content does not replace a clinical assessment by a registered practitioner.
- We use plain, Australian English and cite reputable Australian sources.
- We do not name specific prescription-only medicines in general health content, and we describe treatments by category.
- We follow AHPRA advertising guidance and the Medical Board of Australia's standards.
Health content is general in nature; individual advice requires a consultation.
Corrections & Updates
We review our content regularly and welcome feedback. If you believe something is inaccurate or out of date, email reception@telehealthdr.com.au and we will review it.
