Cold & Cough

What is common cold?

Common cold or cough is a very common viral infection that affects the throat, nose, and ears. It’s the most common contagious disease which becomes the reason for absence from school and work very often. The most sensitive people against the common cold and cough are those who have compromised immunity or children younger than six years of age because their immunity is not yet completely built.

People who have active symptoms of the common cold & cough become the carriers of its spread and through their nasal droplets, the virus can transfer to healthy people. The signs and symptoms of a cold virus are sore throats, runny nose, sneezing, redness of eyes, and generalized weakness. To fight the cold and flu virus, a person needs to have strong immunity which can be boosted by having a healthy diet, some supplements like Vitamin C and Zinc, and an ample amount of rest.

You’ll need to see a general practitioner if cold and flu symptoms start to appear which most commonly occur with the weather conditions.
